“I opened my eyes. The first light of dawn was filtering through the curtains. Without any thought, I felt, I knew, that there is infinitely more to light than we realize. That soft luminosity filtering through the curtains was love itself. Tears came into my eyes. I got up and walked around the room. I recognized the room, and yet I knew that I had never truly seen it before. Everything was fresh and pristine, as if it had just come into existence. I picked up things, a pencil, an empty bottle, marveling at the beauty and aliveness of it all.” – Eckhart Tolle

✏️Note to Self: Can a room be simultaneously empty and full?
➰This quote from where Eckhart Tolle explains how he felt after his transformation; from depression to deep awareness.

.

➰ We may not be as lucky as he is; to have such a rapid one; but I believe it is worth trying to look at our regular surroundings with a “beginners mind”. To begin again and again and again… I know these concepts might sound difficult; but our practice is “just to try it” without being attached to the result. .
.

➰Today I am writing these words with a shoulder injury; which helped me to slow down last two days and which allowed me to have time to stay offline and stare an empty room: and had few tiny realizations.
.
➰I haven’t came near to Eckhart’s level of awareness; but I took his words as a reminder to try to look at ordinary things wth a deeper awareness…
.
➰I am sure you all experienced a glimpse of it; when the a moment you saw a cute dog, or a beautiful flower or when you gaze a beautiful sky at night full of stars; you might have experienced that feeling of high. That’s the closest to what Eckhart talks about a feeling of liveliness, connectedness when you tap into consciousness. .
